Where does the shoot take place?

At my home studio in North London. It’s a 15-minute walk from Wood Green or Bounds Green Tube. Parking is also available- just let me know in advance so I can give you a permit. Details are provided once booking in confirmed.

What should I bring to the shoot?

Bring a variety of tops (at least 4). Choose pieces that make you feel confident. Avoid busy patterns, logos, stripes, and shiny buttons. Solid colours that complement your eye colour are best. A favourite jacket or top with a great neckline is also welcome. If in doubt bring a selection so we can go through them together.

Is there a place to change clothes or do hair?

Yes, I have a private changing space and bathroom, plus a plug socket for straighteners/curlers.

Can I wear makeup?

Yes, but keep it natural. I can edit out any blemishes—no need to pile on cover-up. You can adjust makeup during the shoot if needed.

How long is the shoot and what’s included?

Each session lasts 1.5- 2 hours. You’ll receive an online gallery of around 250 images and 3 fully retouched digital images in colour. Extra edits are £25 each.

How much does it cost?

Under 18's and students are £280, standard is £300.

A £50 non refundable deposit is required within 48 hours of booking to secure your spot, this is taken off the balance which is due on the day of the shoot via BACS. I do not take cash or cheques.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Please email me as soon as you know. I require a minimum of 48 hours' notice. Deposits are non-refundable but maybe transferable to another day if available.

What happens during the shoot?

We start with a chat over a cuppa or soft drink. Then look at clothing choices. When we're ready I crank up the music of your choice while we shoot. I use natural light and various backdrops. We shoot around 600 images—lots of variety!

When will we see the photos?

Within 24 hours, you’ll get access to a private online gallery via PIXIESET. I’ll also include one of my favourite shots, already retouched, as an example. You have a choice of 3 retouched shots in your package.

How long do you take to retouch and can I purchase more?

Please allow 5–10 working days for final delivery. I do offer express retouching at an additional cost of £40.

Extra retouches are £25 each.

Do I get to keep all of the unedited shots from the shoot?

No, sorry - I don’t offer out unretouched shots.

What if I arrive early to the shoot?

I love prompt clients but if you arrive early I may be finishing up another shoot. Feel free to wait at one of the nearby coffee shops on Green Lane.

Can I bring someone with me or my dog?

For under 18's you must be accompanied by an adult. For adults I would recommend not. The shoot is about you and you don't need distractions or to feel self conscious. As for doggies, I have a very cute fluffy, one eyed Persian house cat Jasper who gets scared of dogs. So please leave your pooch at home.

My agent wants me to go to another photographer but I want to come to you, Can you recreate their style?

No. I shoot the way I shoot. I would have a conversation with your agent so you are both working together.

I love the shots but my agent thinks I look too old/young in them. Can I come back and shoot more?

Having worked in casting and as a director there is nothing more frustrating then bringing in an actor for a casting and when they arrive they look NOTHING like their headshot. My headshots do not lie. I can only work with what you bring to the shoot. I cannot make you thinner, bigger, de-age you. I retouch blemishes and stray hairs- I don't 'filter' your face. If you're 16 and 6ft I sadly can't make you look 10 and under 4ft3 to nab an audition for Matilda.

I always shoot until we are both entirely happy with the shots and I will show them to you as we go along. If there is something you don't like - (and be honest) we can address it as we go along.

You will receive professional industry standard images. There is no right to reject on the basis of style, content, composition or editing. I do not offer free reshoots for reasons beyond my control.
